Our Practices & Menu

At Red Gate Ranch, our intention is to produce high quality, nutrient dense food for our families and our community. Using regenerative farming practices, we strive to raise our livestock and nurture our garden with a deep reverence for the natural world. Our heritage breed pigs are always out on fresh pasture on our 110 acre property. In addition to regular pasture forage the hogs are supplemented with an organic/Non-GMO feed which is often mixed with organic apple cider vinegar and organic kelp meal to provide them with the utmost nourishment. You should see the way they devour this mixture! They also receive weekly scraps from our market garden and are provided with seasonal acorns that drop from our many oak trees.

Our cattle are 100% grass fed and finished and are always given a free choice, organic kelp meal as their mineral supplement as well as garlic salt which keeps them free from flies in the summertime heat. Our beef cuts will be stocked in Fall 2025, though we do have one-pound packs of ground beef available for $11/pound. Fat content is roughly 20%.
