Red Gate Ranch

Certified Organic Vegetables Grown with Love in Red Bluff, CA

now accepting enrollments for shares in january 2026!

The Red Gate Ranch vegetable CSA will not only provide you with year-round, locally grown, nutrient dense food, it is also a powerful investment in your health, your community, our environment, and our local economy. Joining a vegetable CSA allows you to invest in a local farm, entrusting the growing practices you value to the farm in which you’ve enrolled, in exchange for a share of the bounty throughout the season. We offer full and half share options. Season payments are due at the time of enrollment and payment plans are available.

Our CSA season will be year round in 2026!

 Your membership will include:

  • Six or more varieties of seasonal vegetables & herbs in each share.

  • Weekly emails with veggie forecasts, tips for use and storage, recipes and inspirations, and more on our Nourished corner page!

  • Access to our private Facebook Group which provides easy access to recipes, storage tips, and allows you to interact with others in our food community!

  • Our commitment to build soil and grow food with the utmost integrity.

  • Invitations to member exclusive farm events, planting days, and CSA garden days.

  • A deeper sense of connection to the rhythms of nature by eating foods as they are in season.

  • More time spent in the kitchen preparing and enjoying meals, and less time spent going to the grocery store!

While cooking habits vary greatly from household to household, we believe that one full share will provide enough produce for a family of four with moderate appetites. If your household needs more or less we encourage you to consider signing up for multiple shares OR share your box with a family member, friend, or neighbor.

Our vision of supporting the land

The Red Gate Gardens began in Spring of 2012 with two double dug garden beds and a large vision.  The vision was to grow healthy food alongside our children, friends, and families in a way that supports the land.  We grow a wide variety of herbs and vegetables and are continually expanding our growing space to accommodate more CSA veggie options than ever before. We practice a low-till method of farming and have roughly blending the practices we’ve learned from the John Jeavons, Grow BioIntensive Method, as well as the No-Till style of farming as taught by our fellow farmers at Singing Frogs Farm. We are pleased to announce that our vegetables are now Certified Organic as of April 2024!

Quality & beliefs

We use only Organic, Non-GMO, and open pollinated seeds for our garden.  Many of the sprays and chemicals on the market that are approved for use on certified organic produce are not products that we feel comfortable using on our food.  We often implement biological predator controls and low impact solutions to deal with the common imbalances that come when working with nature.  Ultimately, building healthy soil which is rich in biology is the best method for ensuring healthy plants. Our customers are welcome to come see our gardens and to ask any questions they might have about our practices.
